Des restes humains sont retrouvés dans le coffre d’une voiture. Et ce n’est que le début. Des meurtres de plus en plus atroces sont perpétrés partout en Angleterre. Tous différents dans leur mode opératoire, tous horrifiques et choquants au dernier degré.
Un cadavre découvert après l’autre, impossible pour la police d’ignorer les similitudes entre ces crimes et ceux commis par Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Edmund Kemper… les plus célèbres tueurs en série de l’histoire.
Soupçonnée d’avoir tué son mari en provoquant l’incendie qui a embrasé leur maison, Jessica Ambrose, elle, est en fuite.
